The hardest question
One of the hardest questions we face is an age-old one – “What do you want?”
It’s a question that often leaves us feeling perplexed, especially during pivotal moments and times of transition in our lives.
Recently, during an intake call with a new coaching client, we delved into this very thing. Despite this client’s eagerness for guidance, he found himself stumbling. "I think I need help," he shared, "but I'm not even sure what I need help with."
I asked a simple question. “What is it that you want?” Still, there was no answer.
Sound familiar? It’s a sentiment many of us can relate to, particularly as navigate the complexities of midlife. We may be wondering … Is this all there is? Shouldn’t there be more? How did I get here?
Yet, amidst this uncertainty, there lies a profound opportunity for self-discovery. It's the moment when we dare to ask ourselves, "What do I want?" This is not an easy question to answer.

But why is it so challenging? Perhaps because we've become accustomed to simply going through the motions without truly acknowledging our deepest desires. We settle for the familiar, the safe, instead of daring to pursue our purpose with unwavering determination.
So, today, I invite you to embark on a journey of self-reflection. Take a moment to ponder what stirs your soul, what ignites a spark of passion within you. Is it the desire to stop feeling stuck? To embrace a newfound sense of purpose? To pursue a different path or career altogether?
Whatever it may be, hold onto that vision with clarity and conviction. For in doing so, you pave the way for a future filled with fulfillment and purpose.
