The Hardest Leap in Tech Isn’t Technical—It’s the Career Transition

The Struggle

You have:

?? Invested thousands in bootcamps.

?? Spent late nights refining your portfolio website.

?? Reworked your resume dozens of times based on conflicting advice.

400+ applications later, you’re met with silence. Every job has 300+ applicants—even “entry-level” roles demand years of experience.

And just when you think you’re catching up, the industry moves forward again.

Then comes the unspoken bias.

?? "You’re not the typical candidate we hire."

?? "We’re looking for someone who’s grown up in tech."

?? "Your experience is interesting, but we need someone with ‘real’ industry experience."

Despite years of strategic thinking, communication, and problem-solving experience, career transitioners are often treated like blank slates.

It’s exhausting. It’s frustrating. And it’s broken.

The Stakes

For most career switchers in today’s world, landing a role is an uphill battle that can take years.

? The job search feels dehumanizing. AI filters, ghosting, and endless applications leave you wondering if anyone even reads your resume.

? Entry-level jobs aren’t entry-level. They demand 2-3 years of experience, making it impossible to “break in.”

? Your education feels outdated before you even finish. You train for a role, only to find your skills are already irrelevant.

? Bias is real. Decades of experience? Still overlooked in favor of younger, 'native' tech talent.

And the longer this process takes, the lonelier it feels.

But what if—just what if—we didn’t have to do this alone?

What if we do it together?

The Shift

We launched TechLeap a year ago to help career transitioners break into tech by building AI-powered, no-code MVPs in cross-functional teams to build experience.

But we realized something along the way.

There’s no one community that’s with us through all the ups and downs of our journey.

What do I mean?

Bootstrapped entrepreneurs have a space like Thrive —a community that supports them at every step, no matter what industry they’re in or what customers they serve.

They belong because they share the entrepreneurship journey.

How about us?

Tech transitions now take years, not months. It’s not just a job search—even when you land a role, the challenges don’t stop.

But do we have a dedicated space that supports us wherever we are in that journey?

That’s the impact we want to make.

The Vision

Let me paint a picture.

Two months from now, if a member comes to us and says:

?? "I’ve been feeling lost and demotivated, but this community gave me the clarity and energy to keep moving forward."

That’s the kind of real impact we want to create.

And that’s why we’re pivoting TechLeap.

The Invitation

Now, let’s be real—we don’t know if we’ll succeed, or if you even want this.

So we’re not just launching a community—we’re co-creating it.

A space for mid-career digital product professionals breaking into and growing in tech.

?? Not just another Slack group.

?? Not a passive networking space.

? A true support system that journeys with you.

If this resonates, let’s build something real together.
