Hard work, Dedication, Humility and Commitment.
I felt compelled to post this personal note today and share some thoughts around the respect and admiration I have for our son Nathan and his efforts as a student athlete.
We are blessed with a very beautiful family. Nathan is our middle son of three boys. He is in his 5th and final year as a member of the offensive line for the Ohio State Buckeyes. He and his teammates are working hard to win a National Championship against Alabama on Jan 11th, 2021. We are traveling to Miami this weekend to support his efforts and will of course take every precaution to stay safe and healthy. COVID-19 is serious and we as a family have taken this pandemic very serious. Like many of you it has impacted our businesses and continues to challenge us as we move into 2021.
Over the last 25 years of my career, I have met some very successful people. (My wife is one of them without a doubt. She is a very special person, and I am lucky to have her as a partner and a wife. Joelle is an absolute Rock Star!). All of them regardless of where they come from typically have four common characteristics. Hard work, Dedication, Humility and Commitment. Nathan has proven to have all of these very important character values.
We are extremely proud of Nathan and the man he has become. He will be successful long after his last football game this weekend regardless of the outcome. With that said, I wanted to express my gratitude and appreciation to Nathan by sharing this post. I have loved watching him grow and have enjoyed being with him along the way for his journey over the last 5 years. One more game to defy the odds. If there is anyone who deserves to be a champion it is Nathan! His relentless chase to win a "Big ring" has been fun to watch.
Next Monday evening if you are watching the National Championship Game look for number 50 on the side lines of the Buckeyes. He is a great young man who deserves all the success that he earns. Go Bucks! Beat Alabama!
