Hard Truths you Uncover as an Entrepreneur

It’s true- I can do my laundry (or whatever else I want) at pretty much any time of the day. That is a huge advantage of working from home and being my own boss.
But, I don’t want to give the impression that it’s all so luxurious or easy. Because it most definitely IS NOT.
To be an entrepreneur takes a lot of courage. You have to believe in yourself and your work, even when others don’t believe in you or your vision.
You have to develop tenacity in the face of fear, frustration, and doubt. And there are a lot of fears and doubts that you uncover in the journey.
You have to be okay with uncertainty. For there is nothing certain or guaranteed with being an entrepreneur including money, success, or happiness.
You must focus. Shiny object syndrome is real and you have to be firm in choosing to stay focused on your goals.
You have to be comfortable standing alone because you will often be alone. You are going to have to deal with many emotions, highs and lows, and sleepless nights by yourself.
No one can understand exactly what you are going through because it is yours to figure out as you grow.
You have to challenge yourself. And, in doing so change yourself, into the person you need to be.
So while entrepreneurship may not be all glamorous and easy, it most certainly is WORTH it.
