The Hard Part!
The hard part of people development isn't the endless training and encouragement, or the number of times you have to say the same thing before someone finally gets it. Those are frustrating but often times when they do finally get it, it's also the most rewarding times. No the hardest part is letting someone fail who you know could do it but for whatever reason is refusing to try. Yet if we aren't willing to let someone fail we shouldn't be in the development business. It's often times in the failing that someone discovers their true passion and can then focus on it. But I'd be lying if I didn't admit it hurts!
