World Soil Day (WSD) was established to “focus attention on the importance of healthy soil and to advocate for the sustainable management of soil resources.

The theme for this year’s World Soil Day is "Caring for Soils: Measure, Monitor, Manage”.

Raise a glass of your favorite beverage at some time today -- an electronic toast to the living soil. I'll be taking a sip at 5:00 pm ET. :)
