Happy Thanksgiving Ya'll!

Whew! Where did 2016 go!? With Thanksgiving this week, I wanted to take some time to reflect and thank everyone in my life for the support, encouragement, feedback (positive & negative) and love. Sometimes we forget to acknowledge how much help we get from those around us.

Thank you strangers ...

Last month, I attended the Capella Doctor of IT residency and met my fellow candidates. At the residency, I expressed my concerns of not being able to complete the program due to time constraints. Within a few days of knowing each other, I’ve already received a few texts and phone calls of support and encouragement – genuinely asking if they can help. I am proud to say that I am doing pretty well in school (at least, I think I am), because of the support and encouragement from my peers and faculty.

Finally, I want to say thank you to ALL my Linkedin connections that are always ready to provide feedback and mentorship at anytime.

Thank you my dearest wife ...

If I am being honest, I really don’t know what I did right to deserve this woman. She keeps the house bright with her smile and positive attitude regardless of the situation. She’s also the most beautiful woman on earth – just sayin. See — I’m lucky!

Ava Song Ribeiro ...

On January 14, 2016, our first child was born and she took her first steps this week. We named her Ava Song Ribeiro. She’s a bundle of joy even when she’s crying for no apparent reason. Everyday is definitely an adventure with her and we can’t wait to see where her curious little mind takes her next!
