Happy Thanksgiving and Holiday Season: Time for Gratitude & Reflection

Welcome to my 3rd Annual Thanksgiving/Holiday Season "Gratitude" LinkedIn Post, originally inspired by that pesky pandemic. Since this post ended up being over LinkedIn's character limit, it will now become my first LinkedIn article.

?? First, thanks to LinkedIn for providing a platform for all of us to share ideas, opinions, content and information, support those who need our special attention, and for keeping all of us connected in such a user-friendly and "safe" (knock wood) way.

?? Thanks to those who utilize LinkedIn to provoke, entertain, enlighten and even self-promote. You inspire, amuse and motivate me.

?? I am incredibly grateful to my core group of "believers" here - you know who you are - and I will always be there for you as well.

?? Without getting too political, I applaud and am grateful to younger voters who let their voices be heard and made a difference when it really counted. I look forward to your exerting even more voting power in the years ahead.

?? On a professional note, I am very grateful to MediaLink for inviting me to return to the company as a contractor for Cannes Lions and other projects. It's been a pleasure working with both familiar and new (brilliant) colleagues as well as crème de la crème clients that are driving creativity, transformation and innovation for our industry. Every day is a great learning experience.

?? I had serious doubts about whether I would ever return to Cannes Lions post-Covid so I am very grateful for MediaLink's invite. It was wonderful to reconnect with so many of you here - even if I did catch Covid on the Croisette. Pas de regrets!

?? A special message of gratitude goes out to my friend Lori H. Schwartz for inviting me to join StoryTech for the 2023 Consumer Electronics Show while my part-time role at MediaLink continues. I currently am working with StoryTech and the CTA to produce curated VIP CES Floor Tours - another terrific learning experience as the tours address trends impacting everyone's lives around the globe.

?? Gratitude shout-outs to communities that play an important part in my life: Greenpeace/Firedrill Fridays, SFBig, the Television Academy and Gerstle Park Neighborhood Association to name a few.

?? Thanks to Orangetheory Fitness Greenbrae-Marin coaches, staff and management who keep me challenged and motivated all year round.

?? On a personal note, I am very grateful to have my health as well the support of my husband Bill, friends, my constant companion 14-year-old lab mix Lucky (above), former and current colleagues and family. While I am looking forward to being fully employed again in 2023, one of the best parts about being a freelancer is that it has afforded me a lot of freedom to spend time with my aging dad in Florida. In fact, I feel like I know him better now than at any previous point of my life.

Finally, moving the spotlight off of me and onto the LinkedIn community at large, I wanted to express that, If you've recently been laid off, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me and let me know how I can help you. I can relate. Keep the faith!
