Happy Thanksgiving

We live in a world that has seen significant disruptions in our lives and families these last two years.

Mental health is becoming more and more in the foreground, and sadly enough, a lot of people feel uncomfortable to openly talk about their demons which results in potentially more and deeper issues.

It is on all of us to provide assistance, guidance, and a listening ear to the ones in our community that need it the most.

Thanksgiving is a special time of the year in which we say thanks and reflect; when you do this, try to put yourself in other people's shoes and see if you can give them some thanks.

Inflation is at a 40-year high; more people than ever are struggling, and a Thanksgiving dinner is the last thing they can afford.

Think about the veteran who is stuck, the single mom who needs to choose between new shoes for her to work or food for her kids, and the single dad that is juggling life.

When you go this weekend and start shopping, see if you can assist the less fortunate in our community.

Giving someone your time is a precious gift; listen to someone's life stories.

The person that can spend time is the wealthiest person in the world; spend it wisely.

It feels like society is split in 2, and the obstacles feel overwhelming, but if we focus on the common grounds, we will see that we have more in common than separates us.

It's ok to be different, to be a renegade that does not put you in a different bucket from the rest; that just means you have an identity.

Be you!

Thanksgiving started with people who did not expect something but got invited to share other people's times; they became, for that day, part of someone's family when they shared food.?Strangers to each other but recognizing the most humane thing in life "everyone needs food to survive.

We all know the history and how it all ended, but because we know the history and how it ended makes, it is even more significant that they set aside their differences for that day and break bread with each other or, in their situation, eat Turkey.

When we are willing to see past actions and identify the intent, we will realize we are all the same in this world.

?What you see grows. See the good in people!

?Happy Thanksgiving everyone
