"Happy Soul Sunday"

?“The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid.” (Psalm 27:1)

?“But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.”???????(1 Joh. 1:7)

This title is a song by India Arie,?“I Am Ligh t” is the inspiration for this devotional today.?I have used this song in my journaling and meditation time and it has taken this practice to new heights and deeper depths.?I use music to ground and guide me in my prayer, meditation and journaling time.?I am light, is an inspiration and the words remind me of my purpose and of my greatness. I am not a mistake, and not the ones I made in the past nor am I the ones I will make in the future.?I am not the sum total of every bad thing I have done or that has been done to me nor the things that have happened to me. I am not the mistakes that others have made. I am light. I am divinely shaped for today and for my future. God is living on the inside of me and of you. I am light and You are light.?

?Be the Light! Today and everyday,?be the light as Jesus is the light of the world. Reflect the light of Jesus. You must also be your own light. You must let your light shine, so that others might see, so others might know, so that others might believe, wonder, be encouraged, and come running to say, “what must I do to be saved, to light, to be free, and to be the light?”?

What is the light? The light is Jesus, a natural agent, sight to the blind. What can light do? It is visible, it illuminates, it provides brightness, radiance, luster, glow, it dazzles.?It is sunlight, moonlight, ray of light, beam of light, daylight, natural light, it’s sunny, it’s cheerful. Don’t let anything or anyone put out your light. This is the light, be the light that Jesus is, the light that is the light of the world. Go Be The Light!

?Let Us Pray...O’ Lord, light of the world, bright and morning star, thank you that you are the light of the world. Guide us into the light, lead us out of the darkness, and into your marvelous light, be a light unto our path, and a lamp for our way. Allow us to let our light shine for all to see. Do not allow anything to dampen our light, to blow out our light or dim our light. For this is the light that will lead and guide us in this day and the days to come. This is the light that will help others to see this is the way to go. This is the light you have given us to shine brightly because we are your daughters and sons.?In the name of Jesus, Amen.
