Happy Sign Languages Day

Did you know that there are over 300 official sign languages used around the world? Yet, many people think that "sign language" is universal. It is not and this is why the UN chose today, September 23rd, as the day to celebrate the International Day of Sign Languages.

Considering that, we are even more impressed with the sign language interpreter going viral for her incredible work (performance?) interpreting Megan Thee Stallion singing "WAP". The lyrics of the song are a huge challenge on their own for many languages and cultures, in written or spoken form, but Kelly Kurdy most definitely did an outstanding job.

Now that's how it's done!
