Happy Phage Week 2022

Hello reader,

It is no coincidence that we reach out to you in World Phage Week.

The CellMaker has been used for phage production for many years but did you know the single use, airlift technology is suitable for multiple applications? We have labs using the CellMaker for growing bacteria, yeast, other fungi, insect cells, antibody production, recombinant protein expression, the list goes on.

Below you will find our new white paper, in collaboration with CPI and IBioIC, on the efficient mixing in the CellMaker bioreactor along with a video to see for yourself.

Happy Phage Week!

NEW APPLICATION: FUNGI PRODUCTION

The CellMaker bioreactor has been long recognised in production of bacteriophages and other biomolecules synthesised by bacteria and yeast. We're working on more advanced cell culturing techniques, including growing CHO and Hybridoma cell lines comfortably.

We can now add fungi production to this growing list!

Above is an image from the Bioprocess Engineer at Rhizocore Technologies and here is what he had to say about his work with the CellMaker:

"Using the Cellexus airlift bioreactor, our goals of scaling-up our mycorrhizal fungi liquid fermentation could be easily realised.
The size of the reactor and the single-use aspect of the bag meant that we could utilise the unit within our laboratory with minimal effort required.
The dissolved oxygen and pH monitoring and control allowed us to characterise our organisms' growth characteristics and has informed our decisions on further scaling-up in the future."

NEW WHITEPAPER LAUNCH

Efficiency of liquid mixing and volumetric mass transfer coefficient in the CellMaker bioreactor systems

Deliver state-of-the-art gas mass transfer to your culture using the CellMaker bioreactors

In this White Paper we present the experimentally established data on the efficiency of oxygenation and mixing of the media in the CellMaker bioreactor bags. We have tested and compared the results in all sizes of the CellMaker bags, which revealed:

  • Superior gas mas transfer coefficients compared to other stirrer-free system
  • Excellent media mixing times and no dead spaces
  • Performance comparable to that seen in stirred tank bioreactors

Read the whitepaper here and watch how efficient The CellMaker is when mixing.

Our 4L bioreactor bags are now available to order!

Our 4L bioreactor bags produce 1.5L to 4L in a single batch in the CellMaker.

Here are some of their benefits:

  • No downtime between runs?
  • Reduces energy costs (extensive cleaning, harsh chemical use and water consumption are eliminated)
  • No cross contamination?
  • Sterile, double bagged and gamma irradiated ready for use in clean lab
