Happy people build their inner world

Happy people build their inner world

It is very common for us that we easily judge others based on their actions and words. If you could observe your own actions, words, and thoughts like a third person looking at you, you would get to know the real you. Becoming aware is the first step. Then you have a choice to do what is right rather than what may seem beneficial in short-term. Because there is karma who would return the favour.

And the second important thing is to accept that everything changes. Whatever is giving you happiness or sadness is bound to change. External world is ever changing. The important thing is to accept it and think what can I do in the given situation. When we blame others, we just keep our ego intact that i am the better one or the hard working one. It doesn’t change the present result and robs us of an opportunity to change the future result as well since I don’t have to do anything differently - this failure was because of someone else…

Moreover we need to become more self aware, and always focus on what can i do. With regular practice, you would gain clarity and confidence and all your misery will vanish. The Buddha didn't teach an exclusive focus on the inner life. Its also important how our inner world finds expression in our relationships. We look after the inner and the outer, our relationship to ourselves and, our relationship to ‘everyone and everything' we depend on in this interdependent world. To live our lives together, requires wise reflection and, the care of all sentient beings - the living Earth.

And why is this the case? It is so because we need a habitable world to practice the teachings of the Buddha that were given to us - as human beings. People are coming to us with anxiety issues about the losses and changes that are occurring with climate change. It is important to pause and consider what actions we can take that extend loving-kindness to people across oceans, as well as the unique species of our local waters and landscapes,” he said.

The best place to begin is self reflection and see what it is about the world you cling to. Is that clinging grounded in anything? Does that clinging help or hinder living? Buddhism teaches that how we orient our minds can have a lot to do with how external reality appears to us. For example- we can think that everything is personal, so long as we refuse to acknowledge the way the human condition is.

Actually we’re born with dispositions due to karma that are no more our fault than needing food or sleep. Therefore, if someone is of an ill disposition- we need have compassion for them and patience. We don’t just know that though by hearing it. That’s where the reflection comes in. Reflect very deeply on your own faults- are they something you intentionally have?

Do you always do the best you can to restrain your more harmful impulses? We can find the ways we might be too insistent in life, and then our expectations cause us to suffer when we’re let down. We need to carefully think how the world is, versus how we wish it is. The Buddha was very truthful and plain about the way human nature and temporary existence is. He didn’t think avoiding it, or making it out nicer than it is helps anyone. We also need to reflect and see how we may be too negative. What tendencies we have to make things worse than they necessarily are. Cheers!

Yes rightly said. When we use our strength to deal with challenges and vulnerabilities we feel less stressed and inner strengths will help us something greater than ourselves.
