Happy New Year, New You!

Happy New Year, New You!

January 2023

Congrats, let's celebrate you right now.!! You made it to another calendar year to accelerate your business, ignite your health, and complete projects. We have another opportunity to grow, build healthy relationships, connect to new people, and collaborate. The possibilities are endless.

Most people have probably set, written, and shared their new goals, and habits for their health with family or friends for the new year. For example, I will exercise daily for 60 minutes, or I want to lose 50 pounds in 30 days. Or go on a diet that doesn’t suit their body or lifestyle. Unfortunately, what can occur is many people don’t mentally prepare but they still set BIG lofty goals, then they end up falling short of those goals even before the end of January. Setting goals and creating new habits are wonderful ideas, however, we set ourselves up for failure instead of success because we don't prepare mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. In order to be successful, we have to prepare ourselves to step out of the old and into the new.?

Happy New Year, New You requires some work to be done internally so we aren’t disappointed, shamed, or guilty when we don’t get the instant results we were expecting.? In order to be prepared for the ‘new year’ and ‘new you’; we must understand that our past does not define who we are. Many times we aren’t able to step into the new because we are still stuck in the past. In order to become a better version of ourselves, we need to change how we think about things. We have to change our daily routine. We have to surround ourselves with a community of people who are like-minded and aspire to the same things. Important keys to our success for this new year is, our behavior, decisions, and actions have to be consistent with our goals.

Here are 7? ways to get started:

  • Make a goal to switch up your physical activity routine.
  • Find a quiet space and practice breathing exercises to help with mental health and positive emotions.?
  • Eat more whole foods and less processed foods.?
  • Practice forgiveness and letting go of the past.
  • Get more sleep. Set your alarm to shut down your social media, TV, Ipads, and games so you’re getting 7-9 hrs of sleep on a regular basis.
  • Drink plenty of water throughout the day and measure your intake by counting how many bottles/containers you drank.?
  • Practice self-care. Find some ‘me’ time by taking a bubble bath, reading a book, or whatever helps you to relax.

All success on your journey to a healthier version of yourself! Don’t give up!!
