Happy New Year!

Welcome to Lead With Inclusion! This weekly newsletter is a resource for EVERY professional. Whether you’re a manager ready to be a more inclusive leader, or an employee ready to be a DEI champion in your workplace, inclusive actions lead to inclusive outcomes. Leading with inclusion simply means starting with inclusive actions in everything you do. It means identifying the areas where bias is at work, and shifting mindsets to make change.?

If you’re not sure where to begin, start here.

As 2025 dawns, it’s natural to reflect on the year that’s passed. If you’re like most of us, there are accomplishments worth celebrating, as well as some unreached goals worth reevaluating. For the things on your list that didn’t reach completion, don’t be discouraged, but consider rethinking your strategy for 2025. Are there opportunities to break down loftier goals into more attainable steps? Are there other tools and resources that could help you take those steps?

If acting on your commitment to DEI in 2024 is one of the goals that didn’t quite make the cut, you’re not alone. There is still work to be done as we continue to move forward towards greater Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (or – as we like to say at Rework Work – Disruption, Evolution, and Innovation). However, it isn’t work you have to do on your own.

Rework Work exists to support and transform organizations just like yours. We’ve created and curated a myriad of free, practical resources in the Rework Workspace to help you cultivate impactful changes in your workplace. I’ve also developed several highly-acclaimed courses on LinkedIn Learning that are great for both individual and team professional development.

Looking for a more personal approach? I also provide custom-tailored, on-site support to meet the needs and goals of your team. As a keynote speaker for your next conference, leadership retreat or town hall meeting, I speak on a variety of DEI-related topics, including recruitment/talent acquisition, women in leadership, and DEI/unconscious bias.

Unsure of how to get started or how to pivot from dying DEI initiatives? Let’s talk about strategies and how I can help you navigate the potential challenges ahead.

Remember that even the smallest steps produce forward motion. As you commit (or re-commit) to promoting DEI in 2025, what is the next small step you could take to reach your goals??
