Happy New Year and a lot of Positively Electrifying Experiences!!

The year 2022 is ahead of us. Observing the reality, I know that it will be a breakthrough year in many fields. And closer to what I do professionally and privately, it will be a breakthrough year in the field of microelectromobility (e-micromobility), i.e. primarily electric bikes, electric scooters, and the necessary infrastructure (parking and charging stations and roads for these smaller vehicles).

More and more people and public institutions and NGO's are realizing that there is a not-so-nice-smelling dead end for building our lives and our entire civilization on total dependence on the car. This alley will not allow us to live our lives in a healthy environment.

Luckily we have solutions! We know what to do. Activists, Scientists and Business have joined forces! Thanks to the development of technology and increasing awareness, the snowball of micromobility development is gaining momentum. The most important role is played by electrically assisted micromobility, which brings out the best advantages of micromobility (especially electrically assisted bicycles).

An e-bike extends the distance you can travel with pleasure twice. This gives hope to eliminate the absurdity, according to which in 2021, on average, 60% of all journeys up to 8 kilometers? are made by car.

E-micromobility, in particular electric bikes (ebikes), give people who do not have or cannot use a car a chance to return to an active life (in various countries it is a group between 20% and even 40% consisting of poorer people, but also older people and the unfortunately dynamically growing group of disabled people). Micromobility also gives a chance to return to a normal childhood and a normal children's mobility and to discover the world independently (the world from the back seat of the car and the real world are 2 different categories).

In Poland, sales of electric bicycles in 2022 are estimated to increase by 100 to 120%, reaching even over 10% of sales of all bicycles in terms of volume (several percent by value). Although many analysts and observers of Poland Market report even more dynamic progress (especially taking into account undisclosed data from the shadow economy). In the past year, many countries in Europe exceeded the volume share in sales by 30% and 40%, showing that already more than a half of the market value are electric bicycles. Of course, Poland is moving in the same direction faster and faster.

Early adopters targeting more expensive models have long been delighted with the possibilities of e-bikes, and this year will come the time for the widespread use of an electric bike by everyone, both in leisure and in everyday life. It is not really a "boom", it is a revolution, the greatest revolution since John Kemp Starley invented the bicycle in 1885. The world is changing in front of our eyes!
