Happy New Year! I have to say I am happy 2019 is behind us and we have the energy of 2020 to be present in and look forward to unfolding!
You might have some remnants of 2019 or reminders of what a challenging year it was. Some grief, some uncertainty, some doubts that things CAN and will get better. Please, be easy with yourself as these come up and give yourself an inner hug as you assure yourself you have gotten through a lot already and are still here, stronger and wiser for the experiences.
As I walk into this year I have some of the biggest challenges I have ever faced right here with me and some of the greatest gifts as well. The challenges are VERY much in my face as if to say, ‘Oh yeah, so what are you going to do about this now?” What I REFUSE to do is panic. I admit to fear creeping in - I am human and when anything we love is threatened or in danger that is a very natural reaction. I can beat myself up about it OR notice it, give myself an inner hug recognizing the fear I feel IS because of the deep love inside me and the safety of the world I have known being questioned. From that space I can gain compassion for myself and from that compassion comes self-love and a deeper understanding. From that space comes presence and where there is presence or consciousness there is power.
When you make yourself aware and listen and I mean TRULY listen to the words you are repeating - you regain your power. YOU get to choose what dialogue and story you are running and how you want that story to go. You can make decisions from there that honor you and your journey or ones that have you feeling terrified. There is power in knowing you DO get to choose!
You can focus on gratitude for what IS wonderful which opens up the Heavens for more things to be grateful for. I have the support of my love, my kids and a bunch of friends I do not know what I would do without in my life. I am also so grateful to have all the tools I have gathered on this journey since healing physically. I have never used so many daily. Breath, energy, meditation, journaling, intention setting - they have all become a part of my daily life. Yes, the course I created is based on this stuff but to be completely honest I have never used EVERY SINGLE ONE of these daily until the last two months. With everything shifting I have literally felt I NEEDED to use these daily to stay focused and NOT blown around by the world and the circumstances around me. I am grateful to walk into 2020 with these not just a habit but a way of living.
What are you using as tools to keep moving forward? What are you grateful for that has helped you make it into this year and continues to be a blessing in your life? What new ways of being are you creating so you can feel like you are in flow in 2020 and are not being dragged along and repeating 2019? I KNOW you can do this and make this year one of if not your BEST year yet in all aspects. If you have not yet given yourself permission to shed that unhealthy habit, pattern or behavior then can you begin to notice that and send yourself love so that you CAN begin to think of your life a different and more empowered way. Only with love of yourself and a feeling of self-worth can you truly transmute these habits - not with shaming and blaming yourself. You deserve that love and support!
I named my class Embracing Bliss - because I truly feel we are WORTHY of many more moments of Bliss than we usually allow ourselves. Those moments where you feel warm, love and KNOW all is truly okay no matter what challenges are circumstances might still be lingering. Being in gratitude for those moments of bliss or profound happiness or peace and allowing yourself to sink deeply into them.. you awaken that part of you that knows all IS okay and is excited to create even more of those moments. Please go easy on yourself. If you’ve set resolutions and feel like they are too hard - re-evaluate and adjust them..please don’t punish yourself or beat yourself up. Show yourself some love and kindness and ask yourself HOW you may best be of service to yourself and someone else today?
