Do not be misguided by the statisticians or the businessmen looking for the disabled or product and process ignorant to draw your attention to join their team for training on SPC, Six Sigma, Lean and many other theories created by them to get you to sign up for training and they publicize Six figure salary upon completion of the training. It is the biggest Scam in the United States of America and all over the world.

What is wrong with the phrase "Prevention is better than cure" is it hard to understand? Or do we have to go to Japan to know and understand Poka-Yoke? American Auto manufacturers maintained 100% quality and reliable products once upon a time, they never taught the secrets, and we never showed an interest to learn from them also. What did you learn there in Japan? Let me tell you, if the Japanese Car manufacturers have maintained 100% quality products, they never disclosed their secret to you, they have created a set of materials (Poka-Yoke) for the visitors to demonstrate their secrets. Do you believe the Japanese will disclose their business secrets? No never. They know your weakness and how to fool you.

Let me bring my experience at the Boeing Company, St. Louis, Missouri, their custom was to train all the engineers especially the supplier management group on Statistical Process Control and all the branches of statistics to do this and that which has no elation with the manufacturing products or processes. Management was keen on pushing statistics to the maximum extent. One training class, I asked the trainer, his name was Sam has PhD in Mico Biology, and he was chosen to teach Statistics to the employees, my question was, Sam will this Statistics work in the real world of manufacturing Aerospace components, assemblies of low volume production? His answer was NO. Underline this “A PhD degree does not mean that he or she has the profound knowledge on manufacturing and quality technology” they should be allowed to work the area what awarded PhD.

Is it not a pure Cheating or it is a form of honest cheating or robbing the industries.

“Matthew principle says that - in any manufacturing process; if the product is defined, process is known and the variables are known, then use Industrial statistics with R SPC software to plan and control the manufacturing process to yield close to 100% or more, do not use statistical process control, that has a different mindset and focus of its own.”

Statistical process control will work where the Datum or Base of the Product or Process are not definable, in that case statistical data from the event would help to define the Datum close to 85% to 90% with 15% to 10% margin of error, uncertainty, risk or failure. Some examples of event are, election, Rain, Stock Market, Certain sickness, Covid-19 and earthquake etc.

Transformation of the system is what we need today, avoid unworthy tools and techniques, get the right system.
