Happy National Young Readers Week!

Did you know that this week is National Young Readers Week?

We thought it would be the perfect time to share some highlights from the millions of young readers using ReadWorks so far this school year:

  • Our most popular nonfiction passage The School-Year: Part of our brand-new Spanish-English Paired Texts offering, The School Year quickly rose to the top of the most popular nonfiction texts of the year––demonstrating the number of Spanish-speaking English language learners using ReadWorks’ platform.
  • Our most popular fiction passage Hanging with the Cool Kids: Donovan moves from New Jersey to Florida, starting at a new middle school where he misses his old friend Terrance and wonders if he will fit in.?
  • A new, exciting middle school writing contest: ReadWorks has teamed up with Storyshares for a contest to create an alternative ending to our five-part fiction series Hacked! This collaboration encourages creativity and literacy development through engaging student readers and writers with prizes up to $2,000!

Teachers are so passionate about ReadWorks that they constantly share how they’re using it on social media, celebrating their students’ joy and success! They take pride in using such a powerful tool to inspire young readers—and the connection between students’ love for reading and teachers’ enthusiasm is undeniable. Every day, ReadWorks is mentioned on social media because it genuinely works, empowering educators and engaging students in meaningful ways that they love to share.

Educators consistently report that students are excited to use ReadWorks to grow and learn. We are honored to be a part of the reading journeys of over 11 million students nationwide and are proud to be a proven benefit to reading comprehension.?
