Happy Mother's Day & Generational Marketing
Hi there, Happy Mother's Day to you and yours!
I wanted to take a moment to give a shoutout to my wife, Rachel, for making it possible to grow CatapultX, and keep our family happy and healthy all the while she excels at her career at iHeartMedia.
My own mother deserves thanks today too! Actually, I was talking with her the other day about the NAB Show which gave me the idea for this week's blog. My mom used to go to the NAB Show back in the heyday of radio and television as one of the co-founders of the Cable Advertising Bureau.
Can you imagine? The same trade show/conference served to different generations? What changes has NAB made to appeal to younger generations of professionals? They've for sure added new events and industries that appeal to the mobile and streaming first landscape we live in.
That got me thinking.?What marketing tactics apply to generations? Are there ways to market to different generations that net a better result for the advertiser? What worked for my mother, won't necessarily work for me and Rachel and likely won't work for my sons.?
