Happy Monday!

Happy Monday!

Good afternoon you beautiful being, and welcome to our little corner of inspiration.

First, let me begin with a big THANK YOU.

We hosted our Andalusian Retreat last week and I still am bathing in the loving energy and unwavering support that the group shared.

So, a big thank you to all the ladies that joined us for making an extra special time.

The sun, the lovingly prepared fruit (fresh from the produce from Dragonfly house!), excellent yoga sessions from Trish… filled us with laughter, energy and motivation. Ready to tackle the second half of the year??? HELL YEAH!

Which brings me to the second part of this note - I am hearing lots of you sharing feelings of #overwhelm, #tiredness, brain fog…. “Relentless” is what you’ve been sharing.

If this sounds like you too, I’d like to invite you to try some of the following:

  • Check in on your healthy habits: sleep, nutrition, movement. How have they been lately? Are you resting? having a balanced diet? getting some time to move? (bonus points if you are also managing to get yourself our of the house and into nature). These help release your daily D.O.S.E. of happy hormones (dopamine, oxytocine, serotonine and endorphines), which will release that “feel good” feeling.
  • Share the load: delegate. At home and at work. What are the things that you need to take or and what are the ones that could do with a helping hand? Communicate, ask for help.
  • Prioritise: and by this I don’t mean a “to-do” list (we are all very good at this already). No. I mean looking into what matters to you most, what fills your tanks and do more of it!
  • Positive thoughts, positive outcomes: neative thinking is inevitable, but with consciousness and time we can train ourselves to shift our perspective to one that will help us move forward in our best possible way. Your brain will focus on what you ask them to focus on, so why not choosing a more helpful thought? you can try starting a gratitude journal - write down 3 things you are grateful for every night before you go to bed. Do this for a period of 21 days, and notice if you start to become more aware of good things happening around / for you.

What has helped me this week:

Connection.

To the lovely ladies that joined us in Andalucia but also to myself, nature… Taking some time off to recharge and listen to myself has been pivotal. I’ve come back with more clarity, motivated and energised.

Did you know that connection if one of the key pillars of happier living? Perhaps you’d like to take this upon yourself this week and see how you can build on yours, conenct with your loved ones (family, friends, yourself ;) ), with nature… and tell me how you get on :)

This podcast episode with author Elizabeth Gilbert - https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/elizabeth-gilbert-the-simple-practice-that-changed/id647826736?i=1000653114506

In this conversation she shared a simple, yet transformational method that changed her life, and could perhaps help yours too:

Letters From Love.

A daily practise where you will dedicate 5 minutes of your time to write yourself a letter from Love. Your letter will begin with: “Dear Love, what will you have me know today?”, write that on top of your paper, and let your pen do the magic!

I have been practising this and has been a game changer - allowing your inner supportive friend to come forward and provide some words of stength and wisdom.

Coaching.

This time with the wonderful Trish. Allowing myself to come to her classes with an open mind, trying out new poses, new exercises… getting me out of my comfort zone and in doing so allowing me to discover different parts of me.

If you are curious about the power of coaching and how this can help you, reach out and let’s have a conversation. I have a couple of spaces for individual coaching and would love to help you :)

Wishing you all a wonderful week.
