Happy Lunar New Year - the Year of the Dragon!
The years I spent living in Singapore gave me a deep appreciation for their customs and way of life, but a particular love for the Chinese New Year (also called Lunar New Year). This is a time for celebration and renewal in Chinese culture and marks the transition from on of the 12 animal zodiac signs to another.
Today we welcome the year of the Dragon - a majestic and lucky creature in Chinese folklore, symbolizing bravery, creativity, and innovation. So what should we expect?
The Dragon is seen as the most powerful and auspicious of animals. The Dragon represents strength, wisdom, luck and prosperity. Creative and visionary, the Dragon is optimistic, ambitious and adventurous, keen to explore new ideas and challenge themselves. In addition, they are generous, compassionate and loyal to their friends.
As such we can expect a year full of potential and opportunities for personal growth, professional success, and social impact, and a year full of visionary leaders, innovators and problem solvers.
2024 is also predicted to be a great year to start new projects, explore new opportunities and create value for yourself and others.
I do hope that you and yours enjoy the many benefits that the Year of the Dragon brings - and GONG XI FAI CAI!
