Happy International Women's Day

Devoted to Celebrating the Achievements of Women and Seeking Gender Equality around the World.

It is easy to focus what is right in front of us, our ?jobs, our routines, our family and our challenges. But today, on International Women’s Day, I find myself taking a step back to truly celebrate how far we have really come in gender equality, while acknowledging that there is still more to do.

?Our family trip to Africa last year where we were able to visit the sites of the power lines that Great Granddad built there, clearly demonstrated how much more there is to do around the world. In a Maasai village, I met incredible women who do it all.? They build the homes out of the earth, cook, raise children, tend to livestock, and sustain their communities, yet their lack of rights, especially about the ability to make decisions about their own bodies or lives is sobering. Their strength, resilience, and joy were undeniable, even in the face of challenges most of us cannot even imagine. It was a powerful reminder that while we push for leadership opportunities here, many women around the world are still fighting for basic choices over their own lives.

?I am truly grateful for the progress that has been made. More women than ever are leading, innovating, and shaping industries once dominated by men. We no longer have to fit into a mold and authenticity is our strength. We bring different perspectives, and that is exactly what makes businesses and communities stronger.

?I also want to recognize the importance of true partnership. My husband, Aaron, has always treated me as his equal, and that kind of support is something I never take for granted. So today, I celebrate the women breaking barriers, the men who stand beside them as equals, and the global progress we must continue to push forward. I challenge us all to think beyond our own day-to-day lives and keep striving for a future where every woman has the right to choose her own path.
