- Jennifer provides an insight into the positive recruitment trends we have witnessed at BettingJobs over the past 12 months and the progression made within the iGaming sector, whilst addressing that more work must be done to create a fully inclusive industry.?
- It is common for women across many industries to be forced into accepting part-time employment due to motherhood and busy family lives, and this also rings true for the iGaming industry. Whilst there are no explicit barriers preventing women from entering iGaming, many of the roles available tend to be full-time positions which aren’t always suitable for women due to reasons discussed. When it comes to the few part-time positions which do arise within the sector, they are typically targeted at and filled by males.?
- However, as previously reported, we have been encouraged to witness a 1 in 4 increase in the number of women filling positions at all levels of seniority over the past 12 months. We are thrilled to see women being hired for more C-Level positions, and we have successfully placed talented women in roles such as Head of Marketing, Head of Affiliates and Head of Finance for some of the iGaming industry’s most influential companies. Additionally, we have effectively placed women in roles such as Soccer Trader and Politics Trader, both of which are positions stereotypically occupied by males. It is reassuring to witness positive developments when it comes to creating an inclusive iGaming industry. However, more efforts must be undertaken to ensure that qualified, highly skilled, and capable women can consider applying for roles which suit their lifestyles.
- During the past 12 months, we are delighted to announce there has been a 30% rise in the number of female colleagues that have joined our team at BettingJobs HQ. This is very much welcomed news, and since joining, our new female colleagues have been exceeding in their roles which include: Graduate iGaming Recruitment Consultant, Marketing & Social Media Co-Ordinator, and Admin & Operations Co-Ordinator.
