Happy Holidays from Kyoto Group!
Thank you for 2023!
Another amazing year is coming to an end. But before we say goodbye to 2023, we would like to have a look at what was going on in December. We were getting awards, signing new term sheets, and also planning out what 2024 will look like for Kyoto.
Check out our December milestones!
Klingele, one of Germany′s largest paper & packaging manufacturer signs term sheet for Heatcube installation
Kyoto Group has signed a term sheet for delivering a Heatcube to one of Germany's major paper and packaging manufacturers — Klingele. The designated site for installing a first Heatcube is at Klingele’s facility in Werne, a corrugated board plant in Germany.
The signed term sheet outlines the project pricing and payment terms for the engineering study that will commence in January 2024 as well as for the Heatcube purchase agreement which the parties aim to sign within April 2024.
“As a pioneer in sustainability, we have been focusing on environmentally friendly and resource-efficient processes in the production of our corrugated board paper and packaging for years. At the same time, we are constantly investing in technologies and innovations to make our energy generation and energy consumption even more environmentally friendly. We are therefore pleased about the joint project with Kyoto Group, as a further milestone in our renewable energy strategy,” says Dr Jan Klingele, Managing Partner of the Klingele Paper & Packaging Group.

We are honored to share that Kyoto was recognized with the prestigious Energy Transition Changemakers award at COP28 in Dubai. We won the award for Heatcube, the groundbreaking energy storage system that enables the decarbonization of industrial process heat.
“This is a fantastic recognition for the Kyoto team, for its hard work, innovative ideas and leading position,” says Eivind Reiten, Chairman of the board of Kyoto Group.
