Today marks the start of Congenital Heart Disease Awareness Week (phew what a mouthful!) or Heart Week if you prefer. Here at The Somerville Foundation we think about people born with heart problems every day of the week and raise funds to help them live longer, fuller lives. Heart Week is a very special week for us as is gives us the chance to shout from the rooftops to raise awareness about a little-known-about condition. There are more than 250,000 adults and young people with congenital heart defects in the UK so the chances are someone you know or love is coping with one.
