The holidays are here!?Family events and holiday parties are filling up our calendars!?There is shopping, cooking, and decorating!?If you have kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews, there are all their activities as well!?How oh how do you keep it all together without running yourself down??Here are some tips to consider as you plan for the next month ahead!
1.??????Plan ahead as much as possible!?Make a list and check it twice! Get organized and ask for help!
2.?????Learn to say NO!?You can’t do everything!?There are only so many hours in the day!?Be selective in projects you take on.?
3.?????Plan your spending.?Make a list of people to buy for and set spending limits.?That will lower financial stress during the season.
4.?????Shop online when possible to save time!
5.?????Consider a side hustle/side gig during the next year that doesn’t take away from family time.?This will ease financial stress you may feel during this season and in the year to come.?
6.?????Create a relaxing environment?with music, candles, essential oil diffusers, and dim lighting.?Studies have shown, for example, that music and citrus lead to increased wellbeing.
7.?????Get out for a walk and enjoy the sunshine.?Soak up the vitamin D that supports the immune system.

8.?????Maintain healthy habits of balanced nutrition, hydration, exercise, stress management, and getting adequate sleep.?
9.?????Share your feelings.?Many people suffer with sadness and depression over the holidays, especially if they have lost a loved one.?Support them, change up traditions, do something completely different for the holiday season.?If they wish to continue with traditions, help them create loving memories as they work through the holidays and their feelings.?
10.??Respect differences.?We all have our opinions.?Focus on similarities and agree to disagree!?Ease the tension with unifying events.
11.??Be realistic in what you can do.?You are only you.?You can only do so much in a day!?Forget perfection.?Relax and enjoy your guests and the holidays.
12.??Take a break and don’t forget your needs.?Practice daily selfcare and enjoy this season!
