Choices matter. No more Fossil fuels or having to choose between design and sustainability
The time is now! No more choosing between a good-looking phone case and an environmentally friendly one. YOU CAN HAVE BOTH! Today, we are highlighting our very own initiative - To offer you a phone case that has it all:
1. Protection
2. The looks
3. No plastic in sight
4. Local production in Sweden
5. Fully circular
99% of phone cases are made from plastic derived from fossil fuels.?Ours are different. 100% plants. 0% plastic. And no fossil fuel in sight.?
One of our core values?is that you shouldn't have to compromise between design and sustainability. A phone case can be both stylish and good for the environment. So can a bottle.. and a notebook and a toothbrush - You get the point. This Autumn, we really stepped up our game and on the?7th of September, together with the iPhone 14 announcement, we are launching?13 new phone case designs, and a?brand new product category called 'soft cover'. A new innovation with soft and bendable cases, to make them fit your phone even better and more durable than a hard cover case.?With a wide range of designs to choose from, there’s never been a better time to join the good fight and switch from plastic to plants!?Interested in learning more about our phone cases? Tiny?homes are 3D printed from 100,000 recycled plastic bottles
The startup called Azure Printed Homes?is taking a different approach to create homes, in a more sustainable and circular way. The startup is?3D-printing the roof, floor, and walls with recycled plastic, and building the rest of the home inside a factory. This?keeps?costs lower. A simple backyard studio apartment, with a tiny kitchen and a bathroom, starts at $39,900. The foundation, delivery, utility, and other costs add about 30% to the total costs, however,?it is?still far less expensive than most alternatives.
“Day one is the print itself that creates that module shell,” says Ross Maguire, cofounder of Azure Printed Homes. “Then, by day two, we’re already wiring and plumbing inside that shell.” The robot squeezes outlines of plastic, a little like toothpaste from a tube, to form the structure.
Azure wanted to use a light enough material so the homes can be built and assembled in a factory and then delivered to the customer's plots.?This could speed up construction?time, reduce labor and reduce costs. The company wants?to put waste material to good use so a 180-square foot ADU can use the equivalent of about 100,000 recycled water bottles. The company works with multiple suppliers to collect the bottles and says there is no shortage of them as of now.

Abandoned Berlin Airport To Be Transformed Into Environmentally-Friendly Hub
An abandoned Berlin airport is set to become an environmentally-friendly hub. This will be made up of a technological research hub, a residential district with housing for up to 10,000 people, and a huge nature reserve.
Tegel Airport used to be the fourth busiest airport in Germany, with over 24 million passengers in 2019. After a new airport was built in the area, it was decided that Tegel should be redeveloped into something new, instead of abandoning the airport completely. The State of Berlin commissioned Tegel Projekt GMBH, a state-owned company to design and implement this new residential community and research hub.
The 5km hub is specifically designed for the locals to be able to access everywhere on foot to reduce emissions. Wide bicycle lanes weave through the streets in the area, and also a number of limited transit vehicles will be made available to help those with disabilities. The early drawings of this hub are impressive with a flourishing community of futuristic buildings and nature to complement it.
The Tegel Project will?not just be energy efficient but also support biodiversity. The plan aims to simultaneously support up to 14 rare species, including nightingale grasshoppers and broad-winged bats.?

France Gives Citizens Up To 4000 Euros To Switch To Electric Bikes
France will pay its citizens to give up cars and switch to electric bikes and regular bikes. The French government wants?people to switch from emission-producing vehicles and is willing to pay their citizens up to 4000 euros to make this transition. This generous sum is an increase from a 3000 euro incentive that was previously offered to its citizens.?
The full amount will be offered to those in low-income brackets in low-emission zones. High earners will still be offered a rebate, but at a lower rate. However, even people who choose to keep their cars can still benefit from a 400 euro rebate on a new e-bike or pedal bike, which rises to 500 euros in the big city of Paris.
Paris is very prominent in the French movement to become more environmentally friendly. The city intends on becoming the greenest city in Europe by 2030. Thanks to the mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, this may be possible. Across Paris 900 miles of bike lanes have been created, which is perfect for those who will take advantage of the offers to switch to electric bikes.
The city is also implementing a traffic reduction plan, which will see fewer cars and other motor vehicles in the center of the city. The major Anne Hidalgo has also stated that by 2026 an additional 170,000 trees will be planted across the capital as well, and half of the city will be covered in plants.
