Happy Friday!

Happy Friday!

Admittedly, it's been a week—a great one, but a week. Beginnings are filled with new adventures, a handful of changes, and, in my case, nerves. But here we are—we made it to Friday—trying to catch up on the news. I heard it was a quiet week. Ha, I'm just kidding. I highly doubt I read everything this week, but I did my best. Happy Reading!?

While I believe in freedom of choice, I’m not sure I can support anyone who purchased tickets to Fyre Festival II. Best of luck, but you might want to check out those documentaries before you hop on a plane to Mexico.

Elon sent the HR email heard around the world - prove your worth and justify your job asap. Trans rights are under attack under the Trump Administration. Hunter Schafer took to TikTok last week to share her outrage after receiving a new passport with an altered gender marker.

The Washington Post’s opinion editor, David Shipley, exits the newspaper. If you needed more proof that the media landscape is shifting, look no further than the White House, and the lack of legacy media in the press room, and the growth of newsletters and sites like Puck.?

If you were feeling a little down and out, here’s a little sarcasm to lift you up, the ultra wealthy are just getting richer. In 1987, the wealthiest person in the world was Japan’s Yoshiaki Tsutsumi, a real estate tycoon worth $20 billion. Today, the world’s richest person is worth $419.4 billion, roughly 21 times as much - I’ll let you take a wild guess on who he is. If anyone is asking, I’d be cool with just one billion if anyone is open to donating. Speaking of the ultra wealthy, this trillionaire wants to develop and control AI systems that could transform the global economy.

Back to billions, the world can’t get enough of Anthropic. ChatGPT seems to be the only company still getting coverage for product updates, insert sarcasm. Introducing ChatGPT 4.5.

Umm, remote snacking? Hard No. AG1’s Kat Cole discusses growing the nutrition brand’s customer base in Fast Company this week. Interestingly enough, I happened to become a customer this week. I will let you know how it goes; the taste isn’t as bad as the color.?

Tempers are flaring in the White House today. President Trump and Vice President JD Vance berated President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine on Friday in an explosive televised meeting.??

The Pope remains unwell and in the hospital, and Hollywood lost another legendary actor, Gene Hackman, and his wife were found deceased earlier this week.?

Today’s movement, Economic Blackout, is making headlines as those behind it urge Americans not to shop for 24 hours. This movement is spearheaded by The People's Union USA, a grassroots group responding to several companies' rollback of diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. However, this movement doesn’t apply to small businesses—please continue to support your local SMB!?

The Ultimate Guide to the 2025 Oscars, which airs Sunday! And it's the end of an era for Skype.?
