A Happy Free Stigma Day and Year 2021 (My Christmas Gift to You.)

Today is Christmas Eve, the day before a holiday all over the world where we gather with close family members for feast and giving.

For too many this year, the year of Covid 19 there will be one less loved one to share with our moments of what we appreciate about them as a person and are grateful for the things that they have done throughout the past year - my condolences to you.

Unfortunately, STIGMA is More Alive Today Than Other Times Most of Us Can Remember.

STIGMA has even taken form in our politics and in some cases, STIGMA has resulted in actions of violence against others who are of Asian descent (being singled out and blamed for the spread and infection of Covid 19,) in my country and city Vancouver, Canada, and others too.

As this year is ending and a new one is just around the corner about to begin, I want to remind you that the other pandemic that is not being talked about enough in my opinion, is the Mental Health Pandemic.

Because of Covid 19 affecting us all either directly by catching it, or in directly by us losing our jobs, having to stand in line at a food bank - our Mental Health Is Being Affected.

And for too many, they are not reaching out for help, because they are afraid too. LET THAT SINK IN PLEASE, PEOPLE ARE AFRAID TO SEEK HELP FOR THEIR MENTAL HEALTH - THAT IS WHAT STIGMA, IS CAUSING SOMEONE TO FEEL AFRAID.

Enclosing if you want the rest of this year and the year 2021 to be STIGMA FREE - THEN STAND WITH ME & STAND UP AND SPEAK OUT WHEN YOU SEE SOMETHING OR HEAR SOMETHING.

"Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter." "In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends."

Martin Luther King Jr.
