Happy Employee, Happy Company

I know we have all heard the term: Happy Wife, Happy Life. Well when it comes to business I truly believe that employers should adapt to this model. Too many times employees are overworked, underpaid and underappreciated. We all know the importance of Customer Service and building strong Client relationships but that should not be at the expense of your employee.
Based off of personal experience, when a company invests in their employees, the productivity of those employees goes up. When a company takes even the smallest matters seriously, the employee’s loyalty will always remain true. In this day in age when only numbers matter, employers have to understand that they will always win in the end as long as their staff is working in a positive environment.
A lot of times the owner of the company entrusts supervisors and managers to handle the day to day operations and staff concerns. Too many times though, people are thrust into leadership roles that have no idea how to lead. They often micromanage and put undue stress on employees because of their own shortcomings. An employee cannot do a satisfactory job if they are fearful of unattainable requests from Supervisors and Managers. It is important to properly vet and promote professionals who understand the value and mission of the company and not who has something personally to prove.
At the end of the day people work better in environments where there are positive reinforcements and rewards. There will always be someone who goes on a job to get a paycheck, but the key is to acknowledge the ones who are truly as asset to your organization.
