Happy Easter!

???????????????? ???????????? is fast approaching, grocery stores are getting busy, and preparations are underway. I am checking out; the register is not very crowded, but there is a line and, for some reason, it is moving a little slowly. As I am waiting, I notice some parents with their two children cut the line; they point out it is a priority checkout, fine. Then a guy wants to pass through to the other aisle. I make room for him to pass; the people behind me think he is cutting the line and become defensive. They hold on to their carts, fists firm on the handle, daggers in their eyes, and mumble some complaints. An old lady just appears from behind me and slowly “parks” her cart right next to mine and stays beside me. I and the four other carts behind me are apparently invisible. She is checking what is happening in front of us, sticking her neck out, as if to ask, “Why is it going so slow?” I give up and go to the self-checkout, although I know I will have to stack my groceries like a Jenga tower to fit the security scale.


As I am scanning my lemons, milk, and potatoes, I am thinking '?????? ???????? ???????????? ?????? ???????? ???? ?????????? ???????? ???? ????????????????????'. If I think defending my spot in a line at the grocery store is worth an ?????????????????with people I don’t even know, if I think others are to be ???????????????????????to the point of not even acknowledging their presence because I’m more senior than them, if I think that I can ?????????????someone just because something seems suspicious to me and I’m always prepared to attack first, then ?????? ?????? ???? ?????????????????? ???????? ?????? ???????????????????? ?????? ???????????


We all want a ?????????????? ?????????????? ?????????????? and expect that from companies, as we should. But that starts with the core values each of us brings into the organization. We can write all the inspiring words we want on the walls with powerful images and catchy taglines, but ?? ?????????????? ?????????????? ???? ?????????? ???????? ???????????? ?????? ???????? ?????????????? ???????? ????????????.


?????? ??????????????, find a company that has a culture that aligns with your core values. ??????????????????, hire people whose core values ?????????? ???????? ???????? ??????????????, ?????? ???????? ??????, ?????? ?????? ???????? ???? ??????????, not the ideal one on the wall.


I managed to get my groceries at the same time as the people who were behind me in the previous line, and I had a great interaction with a wonderful old lady at the bus stop. She admired the flowers I had bought and, although we hadn’t met before, we could wish each other a “?????????? ????????????!” at the end.


Use these days to think about your core values and what they bring into the world. ???? ?????? ??????’?? ???????? ?????????? ???? ??????????, ???????? ?????????????? ???????????????? ???? ?? ???????? ???????? ???? ?????? ??????????????????????; ?????? ???????? ???????? ???????????? ???? ???? ??????.
