Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!

The Easter Holiday typically reminds us that Spring has almost arrived. In the Upper Midwest, we are experiencing a resurgence of winter, which has been a bit of a shock after an unusually warm start to the year. Regardless of the weather, we wish you and your families the best on this Easter weekend! Spring will soon be here!

Cooling Season is on the Way!

As the recent snow melts away and the temperatures begin to rise, it's important to start thinking about preparing your HVAC system for the upcoming cooling season. By taking proactive steps now, you can ensure that your system is in top condition and ready to keep you cool and comfortable when the heat arrives.

Regular maintenance is key to the efficient operation of your HVAC system. A filter change going into the early cooling season is important as the winter season is taxing on equipment.?Testing the cooling components, inspecting electrical connections, adjusting belt tension, and checking refrigerant levels in the spring will help avoid trouble calls when the heat arrives.?Planning the next visit to clean coils once trees and vegetation begin to bloom, is dependent upon the location of the property.

Don't wait until the first heatwave hits to think about your HVAC system. Reach out to a trusted HVAC partner like McDowall Company to schedule regular maintenance visits and keep your commercial space running as it should!

Training Makes Perfect!

While training may not guarantee flawlessness, it serves as a vital foundation that prepares us for the job at hand. With commercial roofing season about to move into full swing, our roofing apprentices took the day to get some hands-on training.?Did you know that a commercial roofing apprentice must complete 144 hours of training to be certified??A combination of classroom work, controlled environment, and on-site training make up the course work that is required to complete this program.

Over the past few days, our apprentices had the opportunity to gain experience on load securement, trailer safety, trip logging, safe load pick up, pre-trip inspections, and lull operation.?McDowall Company takes safety and training very seriously!?We want to make sure our employees practice and promote a safe work environment as an example to others in our trade.

If you know someone that it interested in our apprentice program, encourage them to reach out via our link below.?
