Happy Easter

The Christian Easter holiday we start celebrating today is just one version of the idea of death and resurrection that is encapsulated in most religious creeds.

It is a pattern that is followed in nature as the seasons ebb and flow and we are able to harvest the fruits of the seasons.

The idea is captured in films like Disney’s The Lion King and Frank Capra’s classic, It’s A Wonderful Life.

And 2,600 years ago Lao Tzu, the Chinese philosopher, understood the true relevance and meaning of the concept, for us as individuals, when he said:

“When I let go of what I am, I become what I might be.”

               So this year why don’t you celebrate Easter for what it really is; the reminder that now is your opportunity to become the person you were always meant to be.
