Easter is the time, when Spring kisses the Winter occupant goodbye and lay down the red carpet, ready to greet summer a plentiful, hot and sunny welcome. Guarantying cloudless blue skies and gentle April showers, just enough to keep the petals moist. Rabbits running in the fields and the females of the species teasing its male counterpart to make chase with the promise of rewards, which only the Spring air can bring.

Sorry I am thinking of times gone bye. The only rabbits you will see, this Easter is an imitation, stagnant and make of chocolate, covered with brightly shinning paper. And they are housed in shops, supermarkets, where parents is pestered to buy, buy, buy, by their impatient offspring. Its that time of the year, when parents in return thinks, they should be kept in schools.

In my younger days, Easter were heavily linked with the church, several activities orchestrated by the priest and volunteers. In which our parents confirm on your behalf that you will attend. If you didn't, you not only spoil the day from everyone, but also miss out on the delicious food and goodies that were on displayed. All provided by the goodwill of the devoted. It cost the church not one penny, and always bring lots of pennies to their coffers. In the hope of securing a place in the hereafter. When I saw how little those who gives so much to the church has to live on, and bring up their families. I use to think, they better reward them with a special place in the hereafter to make it worthwhile.

This said, it is my belief, that people were much happier within themselves then, than they are today. Today, they are chasing a dream, that suppose to reward them with a roof over their head, food to eat and clothe on the back. But those in whom they trusted to deliver them to that dream, are the ones who's denying them, and capturing all their dreams for themselves. Their smiles tells you how little they care, with the lies coming from behind their painted smiles. My Grandma use to say, when someone is always smiling, they are up to no good. Look them in the eyes and witness the tremble of their lips, that exposes them.

Still, each and everyone of us, still has the power to enjoy the simply things in life, if we don't trample on them, reaching for riches. HAPPY EASTER ONE AND ALL.
