Happy birthday, Shameela <3

The sounds of firecrackers fill the air of this cold Friday night. I am not a lover of harsh noises yet strangely this noise soothes me in a peculiar way.

I was born to my mum and dad on a day like this long time ago, or maybe it is not that long.I could visualise their happiness and pride when they first held me, the first bundle of joy. The firstborn in the family is always special or I am made to think so. (smiling)

The immense love they felt for me still wrap me warm like a thick blanket on a snowy night. I feel like a kid at this very moment. I feel that joy, a joy bursting at the seams.

Someday I may write my own life story. A Story with commas, full stops and inverted commas.My story of love, passion, pain and melancholy.

About my father, my mother, my sisters and my spouse…About the secret letters, I received and still safely locked in my memory.I will write about my insecurities and my craziness.I will write how happy I am to be I am.

I am not perfect and just like everyone I am vulnerable too.There are moments when I cry and then laugh for no reason.

Embracing your own authentic self is sometimes not that easy. It takes years and years to see deep into your own self.

Still, I am soul searching to meet my self and the creator of my self.

Though the world can only think of your perfections and achievements, deep within you-you know your vulnerabilities, you know your not so perfect moments.

I am growing into a bravery in where I open up my unopened chambers to myself and sometimes to others.

But I am grateful.

This is MEE

The real me.

I do not regret being me nor my life. Everything happens for a reason.

I am grateful for the people who crossed my life.

I have nothing but Love to extend.

But Love is everything.

My birthday is the best time to ponder about my own self.

Oh, my Soul, you are ageless and timeless. Grow love, in your gardens

My endless love for all your wishes and prayers.
