A birthday is a time to cherish and celebrate. We celebrate our near and dear ones therefore it is mandatory to celebrate the milestone birthday of our dear Infosys - #40YearsofHeart!

Infosys is an emotion, its also a friend, its your bro / sis and your parent when you need it the most. (I can remember a couplet from a popular Bollywood song, as I write this). We have fought with it like we squabble with friends, left it in a huff and returned with a happy skip back to its familiar grounds or is it food courts!

Infosys is not yet another company. Infosys is a place which envelopes your entire family too. If you are from the generation like mine, you dare not tell them that you will quit Infosys. Nope, its blasphemy. It is collective good karma that you got an opportunity with Infosys and taking up another job would mean facing the ire of your entire family (starting with mom with the *look* on her face). Yes you are bonded for life. Infosys has evolved and changed with times but it has nurtured its most precious values. The honesty, transparency, ethics, employee centric attitude, business outcomes are all reflected in CLIFE - a?belief that stood the test of times.?

I reminisce about Infosys from my home. I can imagine we having plans of cutting a cake in the FC, balloons all over the campuses and maybe a DJ night. But we are at home and a little dimmed at all that is happening around us. So we will take time to celebrate, to make merry (after office hours!), to extend our gratitude to the founders, their spouses, the leadership through the years?and today. Thank you?Infosys for making us who we are, always! *goosebumps and wipes tears*

And have the cake! After all birthdays is when universe coaxes you to eat lots of cake!
