Last week Wesleyan celebrated all the things that make us a caring business by taking part in Responsible Business Week, a Business in the Community initiative celebrating all things CSR.
Although we highlighted a lot of our Corporate Responsibility work, we didn't mention charity.
Why? We wanted to turn the spotlight on other activities but also wanted to celebrate a few milestones with our chosen charity Partnership for Children (P4C) and share some exciting news and updates.
Happy Anniversary!
It’s a year since we announced our relationship with P4C and I’m delighted to announce that we’ve hit our first-year fundraising target of £50,000!
This wouldn’t have been possible without so many of my colleagues across the business running, riding, baking, raffling and climbing to raise so much money.
The impact that this money has made is huge, we have helped the charity launch in Scotland and improve their presence in Wales.
Our money means more pupils will have the chance to take part in the resilience training and give them good mental health for life.
A huge well done and thank you to everyone involved!
2018's BIG fundraiser - Curse of the Nomed, it's all systems go!
Our biggest fundraising activity of the year will be our new children’s book Curse of the Nomed! On Tuesday 1st May we pressed GO at the printers, well the winning team Whizz Writers pressed go, and I can tell you they were bouncing with joy.
The book officially launches on 17 May at a dinner in the Library of Birmingham at our Egyptian themed black tie dinner, which is now SOLD OUT!
The Curse of the Nomed website is also now live and you can find out what we have been up to since December last year, and more importantly pre-order the book- www.curseofthenomed.co.uk
We’re delighted, that profits from the book will enable us to continue our work, promoting positive mental health for children in the UK and around the world”

Support for Schools
We have created a ‘class pack’ of books for schools that cost £150 and all the proceeds go to the charity. Each box contains enough books for each child in a year 6 class to receive one as a leaving gift.
We are delighted that Peters Books will be stocking the book for schools at the reduced RRP. If you would like to place an order, or know a school who would be interested, please visit https://schools.peters.co.uk/ and search Curse of the Nomed.
You are also invited to join us at the public launch in Foyles on 24 May – book your free ticket here
Hope to see you there!
