The 4th of July reminds me of the miracle you and I have inherited…a miracle that continues to beckon people from all over the world.?In 2019, 843,593 people became naturalized citizens of the United States, an 11 percent jump over the year before and continuing a steady rise.
Statistics aside, each of these new Americans has a story to tell.?A story of what they saw in our country that called to them.?Here's a short video that might give you an idea of what citizenship means to those who seek it.?
Meanwhile, pause with me.?Reflect on the gifts you and I have been given.?Gifts we might take for granted.?
And, let's celebrate the 4th!

3 年It’s appropriate to give thanks forthe USA fir its symbol to the world of freedom, opportunity, cohesiveness despite diversity and failed divisiveness. We should continue to be a beacon to those oppressed, treated unfairly and deprived of basic human rights particularly basic life needs, vaccines in midst of the pandemic and support those at risk for covid, freedom and support for hope of a brighter day ahead.
