HAPPY 4TH OF JULY! HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA & AUNT DEBBIE!

"You have to love a nation that celebrates its independence every July 4, not with a parade of guns, tanks, and soldiers who file by the White House in a show of strength and muscle, but with family picnics where kids throw Frisbees.?You may think you have overeaten, but it is patriotism.”??—??Erma Bombeck

July 4th?is one of my very favorite holidays.??This year, with the holiday falling on a Monday, made it a very special long weekend.??It is a time when you can just hang out with family and friends and create memories. That’s certainly what we did.

We had a fully packed weekend.??Did you???On Friday night, we had Chinese food with Mom and Dad Sasso, along with Stephen,?Gordon and our family.??On Saturday, we had calzones and pizza with some of John Robert’s drama friends and my friend Elizabeth.??Sunday was a pool party at my brother Joe & Michelle’s house.??Our lifelong friends, the Cauleys, were there as well.?

Finally, we spent Monday at the McCanns’ for another pool party and BBQ.??All in all, it was quite a celebration from Friday night right through Monday night.??I really hope that you enjoyed your holiday too.

Before all that, we’d just come home from a very restful and relaxing vacation in Orlando, Florida.?We were away with our friends and neighbors, the McCanns.?In addition to going to Sea World and Bush Gardens, we also had plenty of time to float around the lazy river at Orange Lake Country Club on several warm and sunny days.?We were in paradise and enjoyed eating out every night.

You know, we’ve now entered the?third quarter of the year; it’s hard to believe that 1/2 of 2022 is already behind us.??Make sure that you put your goals in place for the 3rd?and 4thquarters?so that you can end 2022 with a bang.?I can help you?with this if you need my assistance (email me).

Not only was July 4th, America’s birthday, but it was also my Aunt Debbie’s 92nd?birthday.??This month I would like to honor her in my motivational message for July.??My very first blog post was exactly 12 years ago, on the July 4th?weekend, and in that first message I recognized her 80th?birthday.??It’s quite special being born on the 4th of July. Aunt Debbie is still physically and mentally well, and she is the matriarch of the family.??We will celebrate her grandson’s high school graduation at her daughter’s house this coming Sunday.

And now I want to thank you, my readers; many of you have been with me with me for over a decade.??I enjoy reaching out to you each month.??Thanks for all your love and your support.??Your comments and your likes mean a lot to me.??Last month’s 30thanniversary message, entitled “Help Me,” received a tremendous number of comments.??Thank you so much for all your very welcome comments.

Summertime is the time to celebrate birthdays, graduations, and anniversaries.??On July 21st?John and I will celebrate the anniversary of our first date.??Wow, that’s 38 years ago—but it feels like yesterday, and reminiscing about it reminds me to give you my motivational message for you this month:??Make sure that you make time for your family and friends.??You can never get this time back.??Time is so much more valuable than money.??No one on their deathbed ever says that they wish that they had worked more!

Again, seize the moment.??Spend time with people that you love.??Make the most of every day.??Remember that July 4th?stands for independence and freedom.??I wish you and you family health and happiness.??God Bless the USA.

With gratitude and best wishes!
