Happy 4th Birthday!

At the RSM UK Foundation we are celebrating two special occasions this week: our 4th birthday and our charity donations surpassing ￡2million!

We are celebrating with colleagues reflecting on how we have made a difference to the people and communities that have been supported over the last four years. The foundation, which is a registered charity, was established in July 2018 and enables us to give something back to our local, national, and international communities.

Four years of giving back

Since 2018, the foundation's donations have made a genuine difference, and have positively impacted thousands of lives across the UK and beyond.

The ￡2million donated to date has been split between three areas:

1. Individual and office match-funding

Through our match-funding scheme, all RSM UK colleagues are eligible to apply for UK registered charity match-funding through the foundation up to ￡250. So far, the foundation has supported individuals and offices by providing match-funding for over 200 charities.

2. National partnerships

Our strategic charity partnerships make up the majority of our charitable donations. Our five charity partners are:

·?????? LTSB ;

·?????? EDGA Golf ; and

·?????? Trees for Cities .

3. One-off fundraising

During exceptional circumstances, we have come together to fundraise for one-off causes. Notable examples from the last year include UNICEF UK 's international VaccinAid and Ukrainian Humanitarian Aid campaigns. Match-funding from the foundation doubled the amount raised by RSM colleagues. As a result, we were able to donate over ￡200,000 to help deliver lifesaving Covid-19 vaccines around the world, and essential supplies to civilians in Ukraine.

Our increasing impact

The money we've donated to charitable causes has increased year-on-year. This has more than doubled from ￡298,620 in our first year of operation to ￡724,465 in our last financial year. We hope to continue this trend and make a bigger impact for our local and national communities!

But we are not resting on our laurels: in the next year we will increase our donations to local charities through a new initiative, building on the strong community links we have developed over many years. Please follow my LinkedIn account for updates on this over the coming months.
