Happy 2nd Birthday!

Google, LLC is an American multinational technology company which is known as a search engine, internet related services & products, online advertising technologies, cloud computing, software & hardware.

#Google was found by Larry Page and Sergey Brin. They were PhD graduate students from Stanford university in California during the time they found Google in September 1998.

Today, 27th September, 2020 it’s Google’s 22nd birthday! Official day is on September 8,1998, but the company has been celebrating it’s birthday on September 27th.

Can you guess what’s Google’s first name?

They named it “Back rub” because the program analyzed the web’s “back links”. It’s funny isn’t it?

But they realized that “Back rub” is not an appropriate name and named “Googol” after “Googolplex”. googol means the digit 1 followed by 100 zeros and Googolplex means digit 1 followed by googol zeros!

The name suggestion “Googolplex” came from a Stanford graduate, Sean Anderson. While they were on the last step of finalizing and rechecking the domain googol.com, mistakenly searched for google.com and they preferred the name “Google” out of all the suggestions. At last they registered their domain as google.com.

22nd birthday Google doodle represents the current situation of the world. “G” is having a virtual birthday party along with “oogle” through a group call since there’s no way of meeting friends and celebrating during this pandemic time.
