Happy 2025! Reflecting, Growing, and Looking Ahead

As we step into 2025, I want to take a moment to reflect on the past few weeks and the lessons they’ve taught me.

This holiday season, my family and I traveled to Nigeria for a much-needed vacation. It was a beautiful opportunity to slow down, recharge, and reconnect with loved ones. There’s something magical about the African sun. It heals and energizesme in a way that’s hard to describe.

Gratitude and Growth Christmas was particularly special this year, filled with gratitude and deep reflection. Over the years, I’ve learned to embrace balance, especially as a Realtor. I used to feel anxious about taking time off because, as the saying goes, “If you want to get busy as a Realtor, plan a vacation.” I’d often spend my holidays glued to my phone, stressed, and unable to truly unwind.

But with time, I’ve discovered a better way:

• Preparation is Key: I make sure everything is in order before I leave.
• Boundaries Matter: During vacations, I dedicate 1–3 hours daily to handle urgent texts, calls, or emails, leaving the rest of the day for rest and family.

Even on this trip, I’ve stayed productive, handling many tasks, including:

• Welcoming a new referral and an online lead
• Negotiating two home inspection repairs
• Preparing an offer for a client and many other responsibilities that come with ensuring my client's needs are met

Real estate doesn’t stop for holidays, but it doesn’t have to consume your life either. Finding that balance has been one of my biggest professional wins.

This new year is brimming with possibilities.
