THIS HAPPINESS THING II

I have never met a person who isn’t concerned about being happy or reaching a state of absolute joy and bliss.
From social media to real life, we are being directed and pointed towards happiness and fulfillment.
While life coaches and mindset trainers have tried to share tips for happy living, I must confess that happiness has proven not to be an award that can be handed or wished on someone. So far, I have discovered that our perception of happiness and whether we eventually found it or not has a lot to do with our early childhood experiences and how our mind has been conditioned to view life events.
Significantly, an adult with a healthy emotional upbringing will instinctively see failure as a feedback and a need to do the task or assignment better whereas another adult with a faulty emotional background will most likely interpret failure as a perfect projection for being good for nothing, it is the same way with happiness.
For us as humans to really feel the warmth of a happy state of being, we need to go back to our roots. There is a need to weed out belief systems that do not align with finding true bliss and fulfillment. I have been on this journey for a while now and it hasn’t been as easy as it sounds. Sometimes I want to give it all up and accept that there is never ever going to be absolute bliss and happiness anywhere as long as we are on earth. However, the more I try to let go, the more reason I found to keep digging and each day brings more clarity about my core purpose on earth.

Would you agree with me that if happiness wasn’t a thing, it wouldn’t have existed? Because it exists, because it's a thing and because we own it, we shall be it.
Cheers to a more purposeful and blissful living here and after!

2 年This is great! I can see where happines can come from your early childhood. My personal take on it is happiness is a skill that we have to develop. I do have to add that ever since I let go of what was holding me back from my past that I became a much more fulfilled person. Thanks for sharing such a great article ???? ??Aderonke Adeyemi
