Happiness Starts Within

Happiness Starts Within

Discovering Happiness isn't Dictated by Achievement and Circumstances

Have you ever wondered why, despite achieving external milestones, you sometimes still feel an inner emptiness?

Real, true happiness is not dependent on external circumstances (a trophy, an award, recognition, a bonus, reward trip, a certain pant size even)—it starts from within.

What does "within"?mean? I thought I knew what this meant for most of my life, it wasn't until I understood it in my own life, saw it, felt it and experienced it that it dawned on me the real meaning of what "within"?meant.?

How do you describe "within"??

If you're still thinking, believing, and striving for a bigger house, fancy car, red sports car, a certain body composition, you're far from understanding what "within"?is. That's okay; maybe you're not ready or willing to discover a whole new reality that's easier and much richer, not in the sense of money because, again, that's external.

We are conditioned and programmed to believe that joy comes from material success, recognition, or the approval of others. Look, we live in a world of consumerism. If you stay stuck believing that all the things you buy, acquire, and achieve will finally make you happy, it is providing a stream of income for someone else. That's neither good nor bad, it just is.

In reality, lasting happiness is rooted in our thoughts, beliefs, stories, and self-perception. We feel our thoughts that we believe. We don't feel external things.

This blog explores the paradox of internal happiness, offering powerful reflections on how our mind can be both our greatest asset and our most significant obstacle.

How I like to talk about this in coaching is to learn to train your mind and brain (two different things) how to work for you rather than against you...?

Why True Happiness Begins Internally

Our culture often tells us that happiness is found when we have more—more money, more success, more accolades.

Yet, as the saying goes, “Happiness comes not from having more, but from being content with less.”?When we rely on external sources for our happiness, we inadvertently surrender control of our emotional well-being. We now are a puppet and all things we believe that will make us happy is our puppet master.? If you aren’t happy with yourself, it becomes challenging to feel happy with anyone or anything else. This is why self-improvement, self-awareness, and self-love are the true cornerstones of fulfillment.

Consider the paradox:?the same mind that bombards us with worries and self-doubt can also be the source of our breakthroughs, our confidence, and our creativity. When you learn to observe your thoughts without judgment, you begin to understand that they are merely mental energy—thoughts do not definitive us or what's true or real, no thought is real. This awareness is the first step toward transforming how you experience life.
