HAPPINESS!

I walked into the pantry to have lunch and met a colleague of mine, sitting alone. She was staring at the wall without blinking. I was alarmed but i touched her arm gently.

‘Are you alright?’

‘I am fine.’ She tried to smile at me but a lone tear ran down her face.

She buried her face in her arms and her shoulders shook with sobs but i didn’t hear a sound from her.

I sat down beside her and put my arms around her shoulder. I rocked her gently and waited patiently for the storm to pass.

I have no clue about what she is going through but i knew she needed a shoulder to lean on at that moment. I offered it in silence.

Minutes passed before she raised blood-red eyes to me and smiled.

‘Thank you. I didn’t know i needed that so bad.’

‘You are welcome. I hope you are feeling much better now?’ She nodded. ‘I don’t know what the problem is but i know it won’t last forever. It is just a phase.’

She hugged me tightly.

1. ‘I want to show you a video I came across on Facebook. No matter how bad our situation is , we don’t pray to be in the hospital. Even the sick is grateful they are not dead yet.  I hope it made you smile and grateful as well.’
