Off to the world I go,
Knowing that i'm happy about myself.
And if one day I forget how to be,
I can always just start over.
Happiness is not a goal it is a particular set of additions and subtractions off ongoing life choices and experiences.Different feeling can also combine together to form happiness. For example feeling of trust and joy can be combined to create love. It's a pleasurable emotion brought by a state of well-being and contentment. Its usually accompanied by an attachment to an ideal destination or experience. It often weighs profoundly heavier on our subconscious. It’s common knowledge that happiness is an elusive emotion. It can be hard to get there and stay there, but it’s worth the effort. According to my expereince by practicing certain habits, you can accomplish it in 6 easy ways .
1) Keeping Busy
Rather than dwelling on what you don’t have, keep yourself busy with what you have and what plan what you can do more with it. If you like to write, read , paint, run or listen to music just do that enjoy what you do .There is nothing big you need to do to stay busy. The more you give time to be creative, to learn something new the more satisfied you will be at the end of the day which will contribute to your happiness.
2) Don’t Dwell on the Past
One of the root causes of depression is a constant longing to go back and relive the past. We tend to drag our past into our present but all it does is take our focus away or complicates issues at hand.Unfortunately we can't go back in our past we can only learn from it and reframe it.You can stop dwelling by recognising that you did the best you could with the information that you had at that point in time.To make progress you have to go through the process. You can't avoid the journey, if you don't have heart break you can't really learn to love. Focus on what you learned? What will you change in the future?
3) Learn to Laugh
“Children laugh up to 300 to 400 times a day whereas adults laugh barely 15 times a day”Learn to laugh at the little jokes of life. Laughter is beneficial, as it makes us feel better and release negative emotions that cause feelings of depression.Laughter is beneficial, as it makes us feel better and raises our mood. In fact, laughter is so powerful that it can provide benefits to our physical and mental health.A Study shows laughter helped to make connection between hospital staff?in work place.Laughter is a fabulous tension breaker.Nurses who have access to laughter are emotionally flexible and bend without breaking through a difficult situation .It helps building relationships with patients .
Laughter improves your health.?( Lee S. Berk , PhD,?and Stanley A. Tan , MD,?of Loma Linda University )found that laughing can lower stress and inflammation and increase good cholesterol.
4) Express even if you are feeling negative
To be positive all the time is nearly impossible even though that's marketed to us.We will have trouble.Things go wrong.People upset us.Mistakes are made that make us negative. Its all part of life. It's important to express them its important to talk to someone about your feelings. Why not talk to your friends or family. Talk to a counsellor or therapist if you feel uncomfortable in any way talking to a close one.Talking helps to release the negative emotions that are causing you to feel depressed. Sometimes, the only person that can help you to feel better is someone that you know.
5) Follow Your Dreams
One of the most effective ways to be happy is follow your dreams. You always have the power within you to do great things. Why not start following your dreams now? .Its alright if you fail in the beginning ,failing to meet your expectations is not opposite to happiness .Your ability to fail and still appreciate the experience is key to happiness. The joy is not only to get what you want, but the process of working towards it, then raising the bar and doing it again. Follow your dreams follow your passion it might be small but the satisfaction will always keep u happy within.I follow my dreams and no matter how many failures I have I wake up with a new energy and a new hope which makes me happy and keep going.
6) Treat happiness like a process
Raising a dog makes us happier than beating a video game.Completing a marathon makes us happier than eating chocolate. These activities involve pain ,struggle, even anger and despair. But once you have completed them, you look back a feel happy because these kind of events allow us to become close to our ideal selves. We will never be our ideal self because it will always be a few steps ahead of us.What matters is not that we achieve the plateaus of success, but that were continually moving towards them happily.
