Enjoying the little things in life means paying attention to and finding pleasure in small, everyday moments and experiences, rather than always focusing on big, significant events or material possessions. This can include things like the taste of a delicious meal, the warmth of the sun on your skin, or the sound of birds singing. By focusing on these small, positive moments, people can find a deeper sense of happiness and contentment in their lives.
Practicing mindfulness and gratitude can also help with enjoying the little things in life. Mindfulness refers to being present in the moment and fully engaging with one's experiences, rather than dwelling on the past or worrying about the future. Gratitude, meanwhile, involves actively acknowledging and appreciating the good things in one's life. When people cultivate mindfulness and gratitude, they may be more likely to notice and appreciate the small, positive moments that make up their daily lives.
The way my kids laughs when I say something funny. The look on my dad's face when he asks me to help him decide which shirt he should pair up with which trouser. Moments when my little brother acts protective of me and says he'll beat the crap out of anyone who bothers me. Clean laundry. It smells so good. I just like to bury my face in it. Specially the clean sheets. Cold showers after a hot, tiring day. The refreshing cool splash of water on my face as I close my eyes, feels like heaven. The way my hair smell after I shampoo the hell out of them.
When I read a book and instantly connect with every word printed in it. Like the author has written it just for me. When I'm in the middle of a journey. Just sitting on the window seat, looking outside makes me feel weirdly content. (I actually feel a little disappointed every time I reach my destination.) The way all the clouds assemble in the sky and blend in that perfect shade of grey before it starts raining. The sound of thunder. It makes me feel alive every second it strikes. When I smile at a stranger for no reason and he smiles back.

Walking barefoot on the dewy grass in the morning. Buying new stationery. Am I the only one who feels happy using the brand new 3 rupees pen for the first time? Moments when I enjoy myself so much that I forget about my phone. Just looking at empty roads at 3 am in the morning. The sound of silence it makes, feels extremely peaceful. Winters and the beautiful foggy mornings it brings along with itself. Long conversations with a friend over beer/coffee when we're vibing like crazy. Visiting hill stations. The whole aroma around the mountains feels so meditative.
Watching amazing movies alone in the dark. Every time I walk out of Domino's with those adorable little packets of oregano and chilly flakes in my pocket.I enjoy those morning walking with my dog, that cup of coffee which I like to have each day. I enjoy that book which I read, that music which I listen to. I love my dog, she is really the best friend for me. I love spending my time together. I’m not sure that this is a little thing though. That’s perfect! These things make my life better!
It makes me mute my stressful life, the stress which I undergo during my work, the stress which news often bring me down. I spend 1–2 hours in the evening sitting alone and talking to myself about any random stuff and that calms me like nothing. I love spiritualism hence I also keep myself busy in reading blogs about that subject and knowing as much as I can. I love being secular here hence read about every religion. Yes, I am happy alone because I am just enjoying this moment. I won’t deny that sometimes it feels like there should be someone to whom I can share everything but I know I won’t be able to handle consequences. Being alone is not a curse, treat it as an opportunity to develop yourself into something more mature and more productive. Cheers!
