It happens all the time...

It happens all the time...

It Happens all the time doesn't it?...

Someone from the office brings in cakes, sweets or rolls ?? Now this is a nice gesture and I'm not against this btw..

But Davie or Sandra don't realise you are trying to prioritise your health and and have a weight loss goal that's important to you just now.

When you say 'No thanks, I'm alright', you get laughed at and accused of not 'living a little'. So you cave in and have one sweet, which leads to 3, to 5, to 10.

Then the mindset is shifted to 'ach well I've ruined it now haven't I?'

The lunchtime walk gets forgotten about and a takeaway gets phoned later.

And if we are being honest, it's probably going to be Monday before you screw the nut again because 'it's a new week'.

Let's stop this please.

And here's a couple of tips on how to navigate this weekly scenario:

- Leave a couple of hundred calories for some sweets in the office, but you need to control yourself if you take this option - Have 2, not 10.

- Bring in your own food and snacks and be strong, explain to the people around you why you are doing this and stick to your plan

- If you do end up taking it too far with the treats, draw a line under it and get back to your normal routines straight away.

Please stop throwing the towel in after a couple of poor choices

I hope this helps you this Friday haha!

Speak soon.
