“You will find that it is necessary to let things go; simply for the reason that they are heavy. So let them go, let go of them.” ― C. JoyBell C.
Letting go is one of the hardest things to figure out in life. As your emotions usually cloud your logic, and because your feelings make it harder for you to concentrate, it seems like the art of letting go can be confusing and complicated. Your personal values and your vision are the things that make you who you are fundamentally. If your job or your lover or your friend forces you to be someone you’re not, let go. You are never going to be truly anyway.
They say that loving is letting the other party hurt you, but you’re trusting them not to do this, right? Well, if your lover consistently hurts you, or your loved ones consistently don’t care about your feelings, let go. Everyone expects you to show up, but when you’re already there, you’re not even respected! When it seems like you’re the only one doing the chasing part, please do yourself a favour and just stop doing it for a while.
Do you recollect really as to when was the last time you were truly happy as in really content, really satisfied and really comfortable with yourself and your life? Don’t force yourself, my friend. If you really can’t remember, it’s time to let go and move on. Look at yourself in the mirror and really listen to what you’re saying to yourself? do you honestly believe yourself? Or do you want to believe in them and keep being under pressure always?
Always in my mind, I connect the act of letting go to that time I was finally able to release both hands from my handlebars while riding my bike. And yes, “letting go” is what happens when I really want to let life go on as it is and without stopping in between as putting on brakes from time to time on my efforts.
Letting go in this sense is releasing all doubt, worry, and fear about a situation, person or outcome. It’s releasing anything that disrupts your happiness and no longer serves you on your journey. Like singing two tunes of the same song same lyrics in two different rhythms and harmonies that we want to play together as life goes on, we can't hold on to life and let it go at the same time like having a cake and eating it too, therefore decide which part of the act you wish to hang on there and which part of life you wish to let it go because if it is yours truly, it would come back to you in full scale one day or the other, only thing we need to have is patience and belief system that whatever is ours is always ours and belongs to us.
As a gentle final reminder, it’s important that we honour where we are on our individual journeys of letting go. This is a process that may be more challenging for some than others. Know that wherever you are right now, is okay. It is all easier said than done really speaking and therefore it is up to us individually to decide upon and then let it go or keep it to yourself. Stay blessed. #kishoreshintre
